FRAME REPAIR FAQ                   Frame Repair

1.Q  I already have a great old frame that I found in my grandmother's attic.  It seems to be missing a few pieces and the coloring is dull.  Will you work with my old frame?

A This is one of my favorite pastimes - bringing an old frame back to life.  I can cast or model new pieces to complete the frame and clean and refinish it to your specifications.  This type of work may take more than the usual turn-around time, allowing time for setting and drying.

2.Q My kids knocked my frame off the wall and it broke apart at the corners.  Can you put it back together for me?

A I'll do my best.  If the corners were together originally, I should be able to return the frame to its original state.

3.Q I found a wonderful old frame at the flea market but it is way too big for the picture I would love to use it for.  Can you do anything for me?

A Well of course.  There are at least two options in a situation such as this.  I can cut a mat for your piece to complement both the frame and the piece or I can in most cases cut the frame down to a more appropriate size.

The cutting down trick only works, however, if you can see the 45 degree  line in the corner of the frame where the sides come together.  If you see no line, or there are ornaments of any kind in these corners, then the frame has to stay its original size.
